Baseball 2013

Our baseball season is (finally) over.  Ben played for the first time on a coach pitch team where, as the name suggests, the coach pitches to the kids rather than on the tee.  Ethan played in this league for the first time as well, but still on a tee.  We aren't sure if baseball is for Ethan but we kind of overbooked the boys this sports season with wrestling AND baseball.  Ethan didn't handle it well...too much for the little dude.  So we basically let him pick and choose whether he wanted to participate based on the day for practice or the games.  He got a little bit of experience with t-ball but the coaches weren't the best so we will try again next year if he wants.

Ben on the other hand really enjoyed baseball.  Beau helped coach his team which was fun to watch them work together.  The boys on the team had fun together, getting to know each other well considering they were together three times a week with a practice and two games.  They all improved so much over the season and Ben had a good time.  They were undefeated in all the teams they came across, although the rules for 6 & 7 year old coach pitch baseball is a bit different than grown up kid baseball.  But the boys were very proud of themselves and they all did amazing!  Here are some pictures and videos from their season.

Ethan is so proud of his trophy!

Ethan up to bat on tee!

The "good game" line up at the end of each game.

Yep...if Ethan wasn't asking to play on my phone, this is how he entertained himself while "watching" Ben's games...

Ethan just couldn't handle the pre-game excitement.  Yeah...

Watching brother play.

Ethan's trophy.

Ben playing catcher.  Cutest catcher I've seen!  And Beau coaching behind home plate.

Ethan made it to third base!

Yeah...still "watching" Ben's game before his game.

Running home!
